I'm an Army veteran . I was a unit armorer in the early 80s . When we found out that Ruger was trying to present a gun in the competition to replace the 1911 I was thrilled . I grew up with Ruger pistols . I squirrel hunted with a Mk 2 . I was disappointed because Ruger didn't really complete the gun in time .
Several years later , while still working on the Baretta 92s in the shop , I bought my first P series ... an 85 Mk2 . Loved it , still love it , and I guess it made me goofy . Lol
Fast forward 40 years and I'm retired from the military , and still goofy for the P series . I own all of them , except 1 . I've been looking for a P 93 (in good shape) for years .
I finally found it ! Leaving in the morning for about a 4 hour drive to pick it up . Yippee. I've never posted on a forum before , but I'm so happy I had to .
Ruger , if you're reading this , give us another 40 cal . I'm a lifelong Ruger guy , but now that this collection is complete , I won't buy another util you revive 40s&w .

Good for you, and yes, thank you for your service, gotta love it when a plan works out, had a liking for them myself back then but when i got the P90 I had my eyes opened by one of our PD armorers, that turned me off, oh well still love my revolvers, and getting too old chance, retired my 1962 NM Colt and got the Ruger SR 1911 and that is it for me...............too many choices, too little time these days, my plate in retirement is full:cool::rolleyes:;)

I inherited a P95dc from my late Brother in law... Master Sgt in the Army. Before that I was a revolver guy..... once I started shooting that Ruger P95 I never looked back... I'm not sure how many P95's I had at one time.... I have let 3 go over the years....
I've said more than once the reason they stopped making the P95 and the P89 is they could not improve them anymore.

If you don't already have them, there are a couple of P series carbines out there.

You say "P93". So do you really mean it is a blued pistol? Back when the P93 was out Ruger offered a "REM" finish. They put it on a revolver too, GP100. The REM finish is my favorite.
Congrats and welcome. As other said there are a few P-nuts on here. Me being one for sure.

Hope you come back and post often. Nice bunch of people here. Willing to help with just about anything.

Keep the P-guns alive!!!

Yes, it is a stainless slide. Actual nomenclature is KP345PR (Stainless Pistol [3?] 45 cal. Picatinny Rail)
