I was just looking at the brass frame and was surprised that it doesn't letter as a factory brass frame but yes it was Hank Jrs it will sell for lots of money

The other two letter to Hank, but do not mention the brass grip frames.

Item #633 shows a blue grip frame. Item #635 shows a brassie, but the letter does not mention it. Shipped in 1971 it could have had the frame retrofitted.

Well, if you happen to be a Hank Junior fan, it probably makes a difference. And in this case the STORY is pretty well documented. I'd not pay extra for the gun, but someone will, for sure.

Well I don't know which one you are looking at, but lot 634 sure as hell letters as a brassie!!!!

Well the letter states that it was shipped as a BKH-44 not a BKH-44B so if the letter is correct it sure as hell doesnt letter as a brassie

↑ 634 letters as a brassie and is lettered as such with a BKH-36B catalog #. Where are you getting BKH-44 catalog #'s from?

Lot 634 is brass frame

Lot 633 doesn't give the model number

Oh well, we know all too well even factory verification letters are subject to human error.

Lot 633 doesn't give the model number

As a Type 1 made and shipped in December of 1955 it was just known as the ".357 Blackhawk" and then "BKH-3" from 1957 to 1959. (Thanks RENE)

The 45 with the 4 5/8 barrel has the correct model number of BKH 44 the 7 1/2 is BKH 45
