well .....

I finally got to the range a while back (sorry didn't respond before now :-(

the bad news, because the head space is different for 45 acp and 45 colt
I got 4 of 6 fired with 2 failure to fire out of each 45acp cylinder full.

the colt did a little better with 5 of 6 firing,

yep I was heart broken, I should have had the gunsmith guarantee
the gun would work. any time a smith says just send the cylinder not the
gun. I suggest you look else where. I'm having the cylinder replaced with a
.45lc. oh well it was a good idea to bad it didn't work, live and learn.

Will it take the .45 Winchester Magnum? Those have the same case head dimensions as the .45acp with a longer case. One wouldn't have to load them to Winmag pressures, but could exceed the heavy bullet capability of the .45acp case. Of course, you'd have the .45 Colt for that. I'm must speculating.

Who are you going to get to replace the cylinder?

no .. we tried a longer pin,

here is a difference in the rim thickness of the 45acp and the 45 lc's.
even adding the clip or removing it didn't help.

the only option is to scrap the cylinder and go back to 45lc and down load
for practice .. :-(

live and learn ...
