Hi
My Mark II needs a tune up and trigger work and there are no gunsmiths closeby. Does any one have suggestions on a smith who specializes in Ruger .22 pistols?
Thanks for your help!

What everyone above said x 2.

Optics Planet often has great deals on the Volquartsen kits and various component parts, free shipping over $49, and splits free shipments at no charge. They do charge local sales tax, but I still find them to frequently be most cost effective and great to deal with.

Yep 4hrs work and 16hrs searching for crap that went flying. You can also spend the same $200 and an extra $100 and shipping and let Volquartsen do it, prolly takes them a solid 20min per gun. I had a good time doing mine a couple months back and it turned out great.

Another vote for Volquartsen internals, and I like to do them myself. They may not get you totally to where you want to be, but they will get you at least 95% of the way and getting that last 5% shouldn't take you long.

Volquartsen here too. I have a MKIII but used the MKII hammer and hammer bushings to eliminate the magazine safety. Trigger pull is about 1.5 pounds. No gunsmith required.
