Recently acquired a Ruger Speed Six USPS Inspectors revolver (GS-33PS) & the serial number is missing the dash ("-") after the prefix number. There is a space for it, but no dash. It has original box & the reprinted (out of production marked) manual.

I learned Imgur in about 30 minutes ...... wasn't gonna send $400 to PBucket.

Great score on the gun! Anxious to see pics too.

Failed to mention in my original post that this GS-33PS is the second one in my collection & the serial numbers are only 138 numbers apart.

I see that 6 is a mighty light stamp and the - ain't there at all!

Those little anomalies are neat even if they don't add a lot to the dollar value.

i see something that looks like a very lightly stamped dash about 1/2 a digit in height below the serial number but in correct East/West alignment with the rest of the serial number. If that's the dash, then the wheel with the dash was turned too far one direction.
When I blow the picture up to 200% I think that's exactly what it is.

Something else on those two serial number pics....note how the other digits in their North/South alignment, varying higher or lower, are pretty much the same on both guns.
