Well, I see a few things wrong.
No Single-Sixes were a "Flattop."
Nickle plating,, VERY, VERY few. Factory letter mandatory.
Stags,, could be real. But a VERY good knowledge of them,, combined with the fact many have been "faked" over the years,, makes me cautious. But they could have been installed on a Single-Six,, if it's an XR3 g/f.

Well, many folks refer to the early Single-Sixes as "flattops" because they don't have the obvious adjustable rear sight and the associated "sight protective" frame features. Not everybody is into the fine points of our collector nomenclature.

Although extremely rare, there were nickle-plated early Single-Sixes.

And yes, the early Single-Sixes had the XR3 grip frame that could accept the Ruger stag grips.

So, not necessarily wrong, but deserving of serious scrutiny and good photos . . . and a letter, as mentioned. ;)

I have been in a few back and forth emails with this person and he will NOT believe me when I tell him that Ruger never made a 'flat top' Single Six and that the grips are NOT factory. I finally sent him a photo of a flat top Blackhawk and told him that THAT was a 'flat top'. Lets see if any changes occur on his posting on GB.

Just out of curiosity, how do you know the grips are not factory?
