This past Saturday, the wife and I were headed to a local Friends of NRA Banquet/Auction and I got a call from the President of the RCA, Mr. John Dougan. He asked me to represent the RCA at the 2025 NRA Convention/Show in Atlanta with a display of my double action Rugers. I was, to say the least, overwhelmed with the invitation. We talked a bit and he said that he couldn't remember when, if at all, RCA ever did a NRA display of the Ruger DA revolvers. Of course I told him I would be honored to do it. I'll be talking to him more at Tulsa in November but already sent him a description of my display and which revolvers I would be putting in the display. I will have samples, in chronological order, of all of the DA's past and present. both types of the Six series, Redhawks, GP100s, SuperRedhawks, SP101s and LCRs.

Wow, what an honor to even be considered to do this. I hope to do the RCA, ROCS and all Ruger collectors proud.

Oh, and I won a Ruger Precision Rimfire and got a AR15 decanter and glasses at the FoNRA event - that really capped off a great evening.

I need to add something, need some help form the great people on the forum:

At the NRA show I will also be displaying the boxes that Ruger has used through the years for their DA revolvers.

Here is what I have on hand and the dates used that I think are close. However, I want to make sure the dates are correct. If you see any discrepancy, let me know so I can fix it.

White box w/cutout for the revolver 1970 to 1974

Red/White box 1974 to 1975

Red/Black box 1975 to 1979

Yellow/Black box 1979 to 1995

Gray (plastic) box 1995 to present

Black (plastic) box 2005 to present

White (Cardboard) box 2009 to present (LCRs were shipped in them)

Black (plastic) w/red logo 2018 to present

Thanks for the assistance, I want to make sure my display lives up to all Ruger owners and collectors standards and makes them proud to be a Ruger owner
