Maybe he'll get really lucky and the airplane won't get there for a few more days and he'll have time
to just hang out and wander around like a tourist. Pee in a gold toilet and have some camel milk
or something. Be an interesting place to visit on somebody else's expense account.
With all the stuff Red Bull puts their name on I'm sure they can afford it.

For some reason I don't seem to be getting any WORK pictures.
It looks like Chad is doing the tourist thing more than the work thing:):):)
I'm sure the plane will be completed on time that's just the way he is.

Chad and friend that is the owner of the company he works for.

I think that funny writing says. "No Infidel pilots allowed"

Last time I was there (2008) the Burj Khalifa (worlds tallest building) was still being built (it was called Burj Dubai while being built before it got inaugurated).

The picture of the building where the RedBull is going to land is the Burj Al Arab, a hotel/resort. It is "offically" rated as a 5 star hotel, but most consider it as the only 7 star hotel in the world. It is considered a private resort so it is closed to non-guests (there are a few exceptions though). Rooms go for $4500-$9200+ PER NIGHT. The Lunch buffet is $125

I DID NOT stay at the Burj Al Arab, I don't think the company would have liked to see a 7 day stay there on my expense account

The one "mall" I went to (just to look around) was 7 stories tall with each of the "floors" equal to a good size mall in the US.

Your son will have a boatload of stories to tell when he gets back.

I watched that helo pad on Dubai bldg landing on YouTube…wow to Nth.
my work has often taken me to military bases. Whenever I get despondent about today’s youth I think of the ones I see on base, the young CFIs I see at airports and pilots. It ain’t all bad, just what we read in the news.
