I already have a gorgeous .30-06 No. 1 in Blue & Walnut (thanks @rando8586), but I absolutely love the look of the stainless and grey laminate. I was blown away to see two of them at auction at the same time!!! One of them went for $2,130, this one I got for $1,550.

2011 Ship date, came with box, lock, rings, but no paperwork. Here is her older sister, shipped in 1982, also in .30-06

Both beautiful in their own way and for different reasons. I am going to set the SS and Laminate up for heavy bullets, the Walnut is dialed in for 165 grain.

Both great looking guns and graceful. Pleasure to see some wood these days with the influx of synthetic. Only figured wood I got is one my TB 1100 Rem. Glad I paid the $330 for it back in 1980

I hate synthetic stocks on non-AR long guns. I would rather have the weight to mitigate the recoil. The only rifles I have that are not wood are a Ruger American in .17HMR that I won, and my 10/22 Takedown Backpacker.
Do own a Ruger American 8323 in 22 mag with synthetic. Happy with that for woods varmints. Handy as heck and really like the 18 inch barrel. Vortex scope really ain't bad for the $129 I paid.

Prices have really shot up on the R/A rimfires like everything else. Paid around $280 for mine back in 2013 or 14. Usually going for around the $370 price range I have noticed. Believe the full list is around $439. The standard stock module gave me more than an inch of L.O.P. extra which helps.

Nice pickup! My grandpa had one and the same colors- I don't recall the caliber though at this time. I always thought it looked sharp.

Had some issues with the M1917 at the range. Turns out the scope mount is not milled/installed correctly. Bottomed out the scope both down and right and still hitting an inch high and 4 inches left at 25yds. Now we know why the rings were ground and shimmed. Gunsmith is going to mill a new scope mount for me.

The No.1's shot great. The stainless model shoots better than the blued one, less than 1" at 100 yds vs. 1.5". I took my new Single-Six Hunters also. I need a lot more practice with a scoped pistol, but they shot quite well.
