Was shooting my Gp100 today. I had 4 rounds left, so I randomly loaded two empty shells and spun the chamber to see if i was flinching (I wasn't). Cylinder only turned halfway and then locked up. Opening the cylider and removing the cases got it running again. The empties were mine, but I picked them off the ground. Any idea what could have caused it? I cleaned the gun when I got back and it functions fine.

I think so too, I've had that happen in more than one of my single actions. I tend to use rifle primers in my heavy hunting loads and they're a little longer, so I'm kinda used to it. I just gently remove the cylinder and clear the chambers. Doesn't happen a lot, but enough I know what to do.

protruding primer I agree I've seen plenty of these specially when people reolad and fail to seat the primers. Good Call on dumping the rounds.
