Have had the 4.2".357 for many years but just got the Talo special 2.5" .357 , new carry gun , can put 6/6 on a 10" steel plate at 50 yards with either .38 special or .357, nice gun had a nice Don Hume holster for it already. Oops meant to post this in revolver tab

I've thought about getting a GP for carry, I really like the 3 inch fixed sight version. I just don't know how well it'd do in the summer, my Speed Six is kind of pushing it already.

Summers here are usually 115+ and then I usually have a jframe smith in cargo shorts but now it is fine to carry
Yeah we don't get that hot, I think we may have hit 100 once or twice last year. It's the humidity more than anything.

I wouldn't mind another J frame but it would have to be a model 60 or the airweight 360. Even if I'm carrying 38s I at least want the ability to use 357. Even the hotter 38s I didn't think were a good thing for the 642 I had. I do have an LCP that I'll carry when it gets unbearable.

Just wondered, how much does the point of impact vary between .38 special and .357 magnum?

Gun lover looking for new home. You would make a great dad. Are you looking to adopt?!!!!
Sorry, NOPE, I'm too old to add to the household, it's tough enough with the wife.  (don't tell her I said that 😀)

HOWEVER ;) , I'm always looking to "adopt" a few more Rugers (firearms that is, not people named Ruger :))

Carl, all I can say is WOW! If you come down lwt me know and the Missus and I will meet you there.
Carl hooked my Son and I up....both said same thing! My Son has been "coined" a few times so far by his Command, a retired Admiral and the MCPON ......but Carl actually gave him his first rating specific coin (CM)....he was pretty pumped about it.
You know how I feel about veterans and I consider it an honor to give challenge coins to show my appreciation.
I've said it before and will never stop saying it.....you are a good man Carl!

I don't believe I'm too far from RoninPA......if you come down these parts he can get you Waffles and I will get you the Coors Banquet and Wild Turkey!
