I wish my stainless shopkeeper had the 3 1/2 inch barrel. The ejector rod don't completely push the empties out on the 3 inch barrel version which can be a pain in the butt. I bet on the longer barrel it would eject them completely out.
I've never been a fan of the Bearcat as I have large hands, but I sure do like the looks of yours!Yeah , got one of those too.Hard to find and EXPENSIVE! Little bitty feller
Very nice find. I do like those oldies.Found this one on Armslist this past weekend, made in 1964 .Pretty excited about finding it for what I paid for it. I have 2 other NEW Bearcats, this is my first old model Bearcat. It's probably 95%, don't look like it's been used very much.
Yes they will. Don't ask me how I knowYep,, ya gotta be careful,, or other members will sneak them out from under you! Buy them when you find them!![]()
Mine was a fine quality little jewel, but gifted it to my youngest grandson for his 13th birthday last year. They have made the Bearcat Shopkeeper in blue, but it is a "Distributor Exclusive" through Lipsey's distributors.
Note that the blued Shopkeeper has a 3.5" barrel vs. the stainless Shopkeeper's 3.0" barrel, so they appear slightly different.

Bought the El Paso Saddlery holster (made for Texas Jack's in Fredericksburg, Texas), and it is a very good fit.View attachment 51380View attachment 51382
I got a set of forstner bits and got emblems from eBay. Fixed these last week.I think it makes them look better.I put a set of checkered Altamont grips on mine a while back.I really wish I could have the Ruger emblems put on them.
