There IS cheaper subsonic, but the CCI seems to have the best subsonic reputation for no issues in a 10/22. I forgot to mention that's what I was shooting.

Cheers,

I bought a pack of 800 subsonics from Palmetto Stare for ~10 cents per round.

Also bought a bunch of Norma Tac 22 for 2.99 per 50 and some CCI standard velocity for 3.99 per 50.

Stuff to feed my muffled 22's.

I've not tried any of the heavier bullet (45 grain) sub-sonic ammo so no opinion. It's supposed to function semi-auto firearms 'better' than common sub-sonic-at least that's the claim.
The preferred ammo for my 22/45 host is CCI sub-sonic 40 grain HP while the RAR likes Aguila brand of same type. RWS sub-sonic HP works well in all but the greasy bullet lube precludes field use :poop: .
While some folks seem OK with using SV ammo, I find there's just enough rounds that exceed the threshold and create a bullet signature to take this ammo off my list. When your needs demand ZERO signature but your ammo gives 10% downrange 'pop', it's a no go.
It's sort of a PITA but each firearm and application has it's preferred ammo. 22/45 = CCI sub HP, RAR rifle = Aguila sub-HP, workshop 9" AR pistol = RWS sub-HP

This one doesn't seem to mind a little variation.

With subsonic you hear the snap of the firing pin, then the splat of the bullet on the paper.

My goofy brother in law shot the legs off my steel target stand.

Bergara BMR 22lr.

Watch No Reserve auctions on GB. Days of buying CCI SV for $.06/rd are prob over. Bit I scored a cs for lil over $.07/rd not long ago. And I have preached over and over, SV will stay subsonic in pistols and some 16" bbls.

That may be a good price for THAT ammo but it sucks for .22LR price. SGAmmo has Federal AutoMatch for $0.06 per round. Different ammo but it's quality.

The price does not seem bad, but the Hazmat fee and shipping charges drives the price way up unless you are buying a large amount.

There is no HazMat fee on ammo, only primers and powder. Ammo has NO surcharge, even for average citizens. Just has to be labelled properly.

You just joined here and you post a link for ammo and vouch for it... let me jump right on that..
Location is USA so it must be legit.

No one is forcing you to order from them.
I didn't even say people should.
Buy your ammo where you want.

Definitely a scam.

Yeah, I know there is cheaper, and I have bought cheaper ammo too, just depends on what you want and your use.

I hope you're joking.
But Kir is legit. I've ordered in bulk from them a number of times, .308, 30-40 Krag (not in bulk), 9mm, .45.
They aren't always the cheapest, so I order from other places too.
Plus they actually have phones they answer and were quick to fix an order they made an error on, which counts for a lot in my book.
But if you don't trust them because I just rejoined the forum (I was a member about 20 years ago or so), don't order from them.

Cheers

I've never been charged a hazmat fee on ammo, unless it's factored into the price.
I only order from them when ordering more than $199 worth, which kicks in free shipping.
Additionally, Kir doesn't charge sales tax so that helps too.
They definitely aren't always the cheapest for a particular ammo though.

Pre-Covid I bought 3 cs's Remington Thunderbolt at Tulsa. $135 cs out the door. Sorriest, most inaccurate, nonfiring 22 ammo I have ever had. You get what you pay for. There is a reason JB is cheaper than MM!! 😁😁
