Cant remember the name of the river but its in the middle of the Porcupine Mountains. Awesome place for whitetail hunting in the fall as well.

I visited the Kewenaw for a few days in mid August. We hit it just right for thimble berries, raspberries, huckleberries and sugar plums. Enjoyed hunting the Porcupine Mts when I was a kid .

Great photos! I've camped and hiked in the Porcupine Mountains quite a few times, including for my honeymoon 23 years ago. I was last up there in 2007. Very nice place to visit. That appears to be the Presque Isle river. I've also been out on the Keewenaw Peninsula, another great location.

heading there this weekend,between the porkies,and superior,with some fall color starting,,dont care if the fishing is good or not wish i could move there tomorrow..set my compass north,i got winter in my blood.
