Thanks 22, I made sure the mag box was free and the scope is a proven Leupold VX-6 (agree with your Nikon comment)!
I am not going to do the free floating, I just hit a breaking point and was so very disgusted I had to walk away.
I went and purchased a Tikka T3 CTR. FYI for anyone interested I did NOTHING to the rifle. No bedding, didn't touch the action screws, didn't even adjust the factory trigger and it is a TACK DRIVER! back to back to back to back .5" 5 shot groups!!
