Just got my Mark IV 22/45 Frankenruger back from Volquartsen. I've now put 1000 rounds through it of various ammo and it now works 100% with any brand I try.

VQ tightened the fit of the top end and added a new Magazine Catch that has made all 17 of my magazines work. It doesn't matter what I feed it, it eats them right up.

I've tried Wolf MT that didn't work before and now have fired over 200 rounds with no problem. Federal Auto Match, Blazer, Eley Practice and Pistol Match, Normal Tac 22 and Federal Premium UV all work well enough to shoot any of them as my match ammo although right now I'm thinking of using CCI Mini Mags for matches.

Great looking gun! I've admired Volquartsen Mark ii pistols for a while. How did the process go? Did you send them your pistol with a wish list of things you wanted done to it? Or did you buy one of their packages?

I've wondered if I could just buy one of their upper barrel/receiver units. If it would fit and work on my Mark ii that is.

I'm glad your happy with it. It is nice looking.

I bought the upper from Brownells.com. Mine is the LLV 6. I was getting lots of jams and called Volquartsen. They told me to send it in and they would work on it. No charge for the work and they paid shipping both ways. You can't beat service like that.

I bought it at Christmas time. It was $337 and they had a one day special for an additional 10% off. I lucked out. I also bought the VQ bolt. RimfireRaceguns. seems to have the best prices now. No shipping charge.

No, I was interested in their top end for my Mark IV and found one at Brownell's during Christmas with a good price and an additional 10% off. I also bought the bolt.

Two good distributors are Withwein Guns.com and RimfireSports.com.
