As I understand it from the Ruger factory site --- the latest Vaquero has a slightly smaller frame and weighs less than the older Vaquero. I'm guessing that the older Vaquero was the same size as the current Blackhawk (say a .357 w/adjustable sights).

My questions:

1. Are these assumptions correct?

2. Is it true that Ruger does NOT make an adjustable sighted Blackhawk the same size as the newer Vaquero? Ant special runs or anything?

Thanks!

1) You are correct. The Blackhawk and Vaquero have the same size frame. It's basically just a fixed sight vs. adjustable sight thing.

2) The 50th anniversary "flattop" .357 Blackhawk has a frame of comparable size to the New Vaquero, and so will the much-anticipated .44 Special flattop Blackhawk.
