Found Some old Ruger Rifle Boxes #1, and 77 some have rings

I accuired a lot of boxes lately. Some are rare guns. One of the boxes is a 357 mag Ruger #1 I did not even know they made that. Two of the boxes had the factory rings in little bags like cylinder bags. One was red and one is blue. Is that how they used to ship the rings?

Yes, the rings came in little felt cloth bags. And, yes they're the same as the cylinder bags. I always thought they were cool and bought them when I could.

Why is one red and one blue?

Don't know for sure, but my memory says that No.1s had blue bags and M77s had red bags. Edit to say that there are also some gray bags out there.
