condition and box ,is about everything, that seems way high to me for the gun alone...heck, I'd put the flatgate back in the gun I have here ( 32,xxx serial number range, type 3... has a premiere loading ) gate, and throw in a pair of nice stags and pay for the shipping to you........tell you what ,you can have BOTH gates at that kind of money.............

need MORE info as to just what gun you may be referring to...........boxed, 3 digit gun, that would be "cheap"..........

What would be a good price for a good 'flat gate'? Is $550.00 too much?

No, not if it's in really nice condition. Now, in Ohio they are dime a dozen but around here they are priced in the $475 and UP range. I would NOT sell one of the examples in my collection for less than $650-$700, but they all are very nice with boxes and "papers".

Hey, you know how it is for Laura, time and patience, she always says "good things come to those that wait......." yeah she waits LONG , quite often, but when they show up........
besides LONG ago she said she would NEVER spend the money that some of the folks do and do all too often....she was put off when I spent $3500 for her ALL blue RSSE..............
We worked too hard and long for our money, and the 4 boys ALWAYS come first, so working in her guidelines ,has worked for ME.................

Good for you, Dan! Me, too, each dollar is "hard earned".

A shipper for a Flatgate? Oh, my, I've not seen very many of those and have ZERO in my collection of 17 Flatgate Single-Sixes, including the Lightweights. Eleven are boxed.

You guys really are blessed. If you ever want to "unload" a nice flat gate at those prices send me a PM, I'd love to add one to my small but growing Single Six collection.

I sold today ,but with out the black grips ,for $400...............along with this 5 digit Bearcat in the 37,xxx range, it went for $325..........

swapped the black grips off the RSS and put the stags back on it to sell.

So Fox MIke, if you are "thinking" about buying a 'flatgate', just buy one....
