Flatgate Single Six cocking clicks

I have a Flatgate Single Six with a somewhat low SN (27xx). It is in nice shape to where it doesn’t look like it’s been shot much. It was not converted but seems like it only has 3 clicks when you cock it. Is this a sign of something being worn or is this typical? I am getting ready to sell it and I’m trying to know what I’m talking about if someone asks. I’ll post pictures when I get home from work tomorrow.

have you oiled it recently?? there are a few springs and things that 'need' to be clean,
oiled to work properly, and you can usually hear them in action, ,,,,, look and listen carefully at the gun while you work the action ( on an EMPTY gun of course)

we've had them like that from time to time and a simple soak in a bath of kerosene ( after you remove the grip panels) blow it off with an air hose, give it a few drops of kroil here ,there and where you can see, reach...can all be done without having to take the gun apart.....then try it out..............simple, cheap and easy to do

I have a Super Single Six.... hadn't touched it in many years; took it out of the safe and tried to cock it; found it was totally LOCKED-UP. Nothing would budge. Low mileage gun in 99% condition. Pulled the cyl. pin and was able to take it apart enough so I was able to clean it. Then lightly oiled it with Balistol. ALL BETTER.... functioned perfectly.
I remain amazed at the power of gunked oil/grud to stop the action dead in its tracks.

Sometimes the 4th "click" is almost inaudible, when compared to the other 3.

But I'd give it a good cleaning anyway, just for the heck of it.

Did a cursory cleaning with no change. I haven’t taken this out of the safe much but I really like it. One spot of rust on the hammer but otherwise worthy of my low standards. I might have to reconsider selling it. I’m financing another build so I have to liquidate but this is hard to let go of.

There’s actually 5 clicks in this order:
1 Safety notch

2 Half cock loading notch

3 Rise of the cyl locking bolt against the cylinder (hard to hear).

4 & 5 Full cock notch and simultaneously cylinder bolt locking into cylinder notch if action is perfectly timed. Otherwise the cylinder bolt click will precede or follow the full cock notch click.
