Fixed Sight GP100

Help Support Ruger Forum:

Took a couple snaps that won't do it justice. I imagine it was a security company contract or something. Shoots great, feels great! I call it the worlds toughest .38Spl

A GP-100 in .38 Special is nuts. I'd have to think of it as a .38/44 HD. :D

It looks great! I like the barrel without the full underlug.

TruGlo TFX for the S&W J frame.

Some GPs have the little button in front of the site and others have the roll pin. Probably depends on which gun you have.

Now that I think about it, I wonder if some sites fit both GP and Redhawk.

I use different approaches on my handguns. I put a Hi-Viz fiber-optic front sight on my 5 inch GP100 and really like it. You have a choice of red, green, or white pipes to use on it, and I seem to prefer the red on that revolver. The pipes are a little larger in diameter than normal and it really shows up well on that revolver. Then on My MKII Target pistols I just have Testor's florescent orange paint on the front sight and like that. My Smith & Wesson Victory came with green fiber-optic front and rear sights, and they are OK but I feel at some point I will probably go to something else but not sure what it will be.
