How do you keep the finish from flaking off the wood on safe queens? Do you use furniture polish on them every year or so?

nope, we just wipe them down, top to bottom, with our good old "Rig " rag........( sheepskin ,slathered in 'RIG'......) lots of other stuff out there ,that others may use, we all have our "favorites"....just keep them wiped down, and lightly oiled, you'll be just fine........and take them out of the safe and check them out , at least a couple of times a year,,so you don;t get surprised and find your "pride & joy" , all rusted up.... :roll:

RIG rag works for me also.

Is it still made? Looks like Midway and Brownell's are out of it and don't expect anymore.

I believe that Birchwood Casy bought out the RIG line but I
haven't heard details on the continued manufacture of their
products, I hope they keep RIG Stainless +P in production,
I'm down to one jar and i like the stuff.
