I looked at that last night, not sure it was in a fire, the recoil pad doesn't look good, the seller claims it "appears to be melted" but i was thinking of improper storage (too hot) but it is definitely not the factory butt plate anyway.

Note the box & what appears to be sooty and slightly heat damaged. ?? Could be just my old eyes too. ;)
Wish he would have posted pictures of the gun assembled.

Weird. Just was looking at my Ruger Gold
Label SxS the other day, and look what
happened, they start showing up for sale.

My favorite Local Gun Shop currently has a GL
new in the box and all for $3,995. I didn't
know they are asking that much for them.

Just looked at it again, and the seller mentions in the condition of the gun that the butt pad appears to be melted. The rest of the gun looks awful good for the butt pad to be melted.
