This morning was Saturday. I had determined to forgo my pancakes and sausage and instead have sausage and biscuits. My house was a trifle cool, but I knew my cooking would take care of that. My alarm is set for 6:00 a.m. but I was awake about 5:50 a.m. awakened by the rumble of distant thunder. Rain sort of pelted my windows as I read my Bible and did my morning devotions.
Fixed my breakfast, lingered over another cup of coffee. Planned yardwork rqained out, so house cleaning is in order. Funny how fresh my house smells after a good vacuuming. And, nothing to do and all day to do that in.
My niece will be home tomorrow afte spending a week in Yellowstone. She called me last night from Bozeman, where she's staying. She has seen bald eagles, osprey, buffalo, elk, pronghorn, and both black and grizzly bears. It is she who hs been such a help to me since the death of Nita.
I am so richly blessed.
