I picked up my replacement 44 special Blackhawk today! Ruger replaced the Lipsey's Special due to what I had suspected as flame cutting. They initially were going to inspect it, re-install the barrel, refinish it and send it back. Ruger had my original revolver from 10/17 and I rcieved the new one today. The people involved in this were very nice to deal with. The overall process needed constant prompting to get things accomplished.

I call BS

It's not real unless there are pictures!

Is this a "real" Ruger or a Lipsey Ruger?

I will get a picture posted later so you have to eat that BS you called. But until then the S/N is 520-2002x. Anyone have one higher? :D

Revolver-Time;
Glad to hear of your "Happy Ending".

Now you'll be able to REALLY hit the range with that fine new revolver.

I sure do like mine.

Here it is. This is what Ruger replaced my Lipsey's Special with. This is one of two that Ruger found in their warehouse. At the time that they shipped it to me they had not yet started the 2010 production run.

Interesting flame cutting, The cylinder gap too large? Musta been glad you got it resolved. ps
Just to clarify, in the spirit of not starting Internet rumors: There never was any flame cutting. It was tool marks in the top strap.

That's the highest I've heard of so far. The previous high was 520-19847.

Ok, you finally got it!

Interesting that they "found" it in their warehouse. I wonder if Lipsey got all the guns they ordered...hmm :?:

Or did they make a few extra :?:

Didn't I read awhile back that the Lipsey & the Ruger versions were basically the same? Just that Lipsey read the market better than Ruger and beat them to the punch? :?

Regardless, it's still a damn fine pistol!

Well, I'm kinda a serial number nut and if that last dgt is a 0 that turned out kinda neat.
I have see these kinda special #'s go out for special occasions.
Might have been worth all the trouble ??
