I have a 999 Sportsman, made in the '30's I think, it needs a refinish, but I am a bit scared to disassemble it.....lol

At one time there used to be about 8 different grips available for your H&R Sportsman. Walter Roper did a lot of work for H&R and there was a grip named after him. I think your Sportsman has a curved frame under the grips and the other grips would change the profile to fit the shooter's needs.

I think it looks great....It has "Character" and is original from possibly the 30's ??? Just clean it best you can and keep it original, IMO. I like it!
