How is the best way to remove the white paint that people use to fill in the "roll marks" without scratching the blue?

Thanks for the help, Kanook

I second the above post. I tried the kroil, nothing. Acetone was next and it's mostly gone now. And holy wow does that acetone remove the oil fast.

Thanks for the ideas, glad it was easy because i'm lazy.

yessir, the acetone will work, careful NOT to slather it all over the gun, just a bit on a Q-tip and work it in........will NOT harm the guns finish at all,but as said NOT all over cause the finish of wood or any plastic, you'll be in trouble...............

Kanook, I use sharp pointed "toothpicks" with either acetone or lacquer thinner. No scratches left in the lettering. Use the point of the toothpick to put a "drop" of acetone/thinner in the lettering and let it "soften" up the paint. DO NOT use metal dental picks to clean out the lettering!........................Dick
