Shot some Federal Classic 230 gr. .45 ACP in my Birdshead Vaquero today. I bought and fitted the cylinder as an accessory as the gun was a 45 Colt only to begin with. At about 20 feet the bullets are tightly grouped but about 2 1/2 inches low. I guess I will probably try reloading my lead 255 gr. Keith Style SWC instead to see if that brings up the point of aim to the fixed sights. Interstingly enough I still have to load up some .45 Colts for the other cylinder to see where they shoot. Anyone have any input on where the sights are regulated on your Birdsheads with your loads?
