Hi anyone have a favorite long range load ( 200-450 yard ) varmint (mostly cyotes) load I am using tang safety 77 I just loaded up some 100 gr hornady spire points over 44-45 gr IMR 4064 I haven tried these yet but that's what I had to work with most of my books lean toward IMR 4350 but I hate to go buy it and find out it is not the magic powder for this gun

75 grain v - max + Rel. 19. Mine were better in 1 rifle @ less than top book. Thin barrel Remington and they said it was heat checked.

75 gr v-max's and sierra 90 gr hpbt gamekings over 4350 or 4831. Either powder has given superb accuracy in both my 77's and No.1

If you want load data i can look it up when i get home later this week.

My best loads for 25/06 w/100 grain bullets used Accurate Arms 3100(unfortunately no longer available). I definitely feel 4350/4831 is a better choice for 25/06 with 100 grain and up bullets. My next attempt will center around a RamShot powder in the slower burn range. I have some 7828SC that I use in 257 Wby with 115 grainers but it may be a little too slow.

Maybe this is suprising to some , but i have had great results with 4350 and 4831 with the light bullets too. Accurate and im getting good velocities and consistant numbers across the chronograph.

My favorite 25-06 load is the accuracy load for 100 gr Sierra SBT, this load is in an older Sierra Loading Manual. The powder it uses is IMR 4350. As usual I cannot find my load book, WTHeck! Also try the 117 gr Accuracy load too. My .270 load is 54 grs of 4831 for a 130 gr BTHP, and the 150 gr BTHP is 60 grs of 4831. The Jack O'Connor loads WORK! bhk
