bought a brand new 10/22 a month ago and the original 10 round mag has malfunctioned many times. it doesn't want to feed the round properly and the round gets stuck on it's way to the breach and i must work the round out with a screwdriver. the 15 round factory mag i also bought has not failed at all. looking at the ruger website there are many poor reviews for these 10 round mags, and when i spoke to their customer service she just said " send it to us and we'll take a look at it". it will be faster and cheaper to just go buy a new mag but which one? aftermarket or oem? any opinions will be welcomed. thanks

Back in the day I think "Butler Creek" ( and maybe others ) made some. Mostly 20 and 30 rounders I think.
Their performance was hit and miss AT BEST.

Bought a brand new 10/22 a couple years back and the first time I shot it, the 10rd rotary mag jammed and had to be completely disassembled to clear it. Got a couple of 15rd mags and haven't had a single hiccough since.

If it were me, I'd buy several factory magazines. Test them all and send any bad ones in for replacement.

As someone else noted , butler creek were good . If they are still made . I have them from 25 years ago and they are still working great 👍

I have a few of the Butler Creek 25 round mags with plastic and metal feed lips. Have never had a problem with them. I have never had a problem with the factory 10 round mags in both black and clear finishes. I did recently by a tool for working on the factory magazines from Tandemkross.
