There are a few Guns done by Robert Kain.

I contacted Bob's widow a couple of years ago. Bob's son-in-law sent me a copy of Bob's records for the RCA project containing all the serial numbers for all the Americans and Spanish engraved gun's he did for Nancy and company..

If you are interested let me know. I could email you a pdf file of those records.

Thanks to JCCVaquero we have the Serial and RCA numbers of the Guns I wonder how many of the 13 Spanish and 20 Americans can be accounted for.

I have one that appears to be a Jerred Jr. gun and from what I understand from the RENE Ref, the #3 means the 3rd one he did.

It is an American series, A1423

Does anyone know the significance of the double stars under the frame? Looks like the same stamp used on the single cylinder KSx and Sx guns, but two of them.

I believe the double star stamping is for the American Engraved. Can anybody verify if the Spanish has a single star?
The "II" signifies that Jerred, Jr. did the engraving.
Didn't realize they were signed under the front sight as well.

According to the letter from Jerred (Sr.) that Bill flattop44 posted on the first page of this thread in 2011, the "II" was placed under the front sight to thoroughly disambiguate these stainless New Models from the original series of blue 3 screw engraved guns (not that anyone would actually confuse them).

But the signature on the barrel has a small "2" next to it and that is what I believe to be the Jr. indication.

Bob, My American #260-37772, #A1411 has the #10 under the front sight.
Based on pix with my purchase, tho gun is in shipment, I observe a 2 near the bottom of the CHJ barrel signature, so was done by Jerred Jr......Update: Gun arrived...........has no markings under front sight and a 2 by the CHJ signature. Factory box and pprs with winning drawing note from Nancy Padua of RCA board. No RCA gold emblem black case, however. Wish I had kept the "RCA overage inventory" pair I purchased 30 plus years ago .
