Sitting waiting on my turn to have a cataract removal done on my right eye. Another fun day.
I wore legit Coke bottles prior to surgery, they are thin now, and I can SEE! Bear up, it WILL be worth it!My Gramps suffered from bad cataracts in both eyes. I would spend summers with him when I was in my preteens at the farm about 50 miles from our home. When he and I would come visit I would drive the majority of the distance, at 12 yo, and he would take the wheel when we got near town, his eyes were so bad. When he became eligible for medicare he got the surgery and when he opened his eyes that first time after he was like a kid in a candy store.
It sucks now, but the results will be well worth it I expect![]()
That too is my age so I honestly don't expect things to 'bounce back' like they did when I was younger. I had the same problem with my left eye a couple years ago. It finally got "OK" after a couple weeks. Not in a panic but rather frustrated as I can't see to do any leather work or read. I also have a revolver project that has to be put on the back burner right now.At 88 years old my Dad had the surgery. MY wife at age 60 had it done. Today's technology is fantastic. We wish you well, but don't fret. You'll be fine.
Dang that sucks. Hope you get some positive news.Had mine done last year. I guess I was the 1% Ist surgery resulted in ruptured pocket from vacuuming too hard to get cataract out. Then placed the repair lens crooked. 2 days later 2nd surgery to place lens correctly. Resulted in lens that dropped out of position. Now looking through lens crooked so have double vision. Headaches every day. Eyes fighting each other. Bills excess of 40,000. Can't get a full time job. Can't work on any screens or I get eye stain. But I hear some people have good results. End of the month I see a specialist to see if my sight can be saved or improved.
