The amplification is more than I thought it would be. With them on I can hear faint sounds I wouldn't normally hear

I'll let you guys know how they work at the range this weekend. :D

I seem to remember a guy I used to work with had something similar to those he wore while hunting. Said he could actually hear better with them on. He got his because he had a Browning rifle with the BOSS system on it-said it made the rifle a lot louder.

Just got back from the range. The new ears worked great! It was actually a little scary and surreal to walk into the range and 1 second here conversation and the next a muted gun shot. They cutout instantly and cam right back on. They even kept up with double taps cutting in and out with each shot.

It was great though, I put my ears on at the counter and the lady actually said something to me about my water bottle. Had it been two weeks ago I wouldn't have even heard her!

Thanks for posting; I have been looking at several trying to determine what to purchase. Appreciate if you would give an update later on the battery life.

I have the exact same pair, was weird the first time I used them. You can actually hear the extracted shell casing hitting the ground. The only problem I have is changing the battery, other than that they work great.

To clarify... as in "it's hard to change the battery" AKA battery door is a pain, etc.
or "battery runs out a lot or has short life"?

First off it would help if I remember to turn them off when I am finished with it, instead of just putting them in my shooting bag as I have done for years with my older models.

At the base of the hearing cup there is a small slot, you have to put a coin (quarter) works well and pry it apart, then replace the batteries. Can easily mar the plastic so you have to be careful, but the really work great.

Here is the link for the 2009 catalog, its on page 27, they have some good stuff for the money
