Last week there was a post about whether or not the ejector rod would fit a ruger.

er. Well I ordered two for my blue vaqueros.

Well here they are. the gun on the left has the new larger uberti button with a hole in it. I foolishly ordered what I thought was a crescent shaped rod. On the plus side, this button is at least twice the size of stock, the stock rod is on the right. I will probably use them even though they are not my choice . I want crescent shaped.

The negitive side is that it does take some fitting, which I have not yet completed but if anyone is interested, I will post it.

The bullseye ejector button was the type used on the original Colt Single Action Armys in 1873. I had one on a Cimmaron Cattleman I used to own. I never had any problem drawing or holstering it, it just depends on how much clearance there is in the holster. The bullseye style is nice because it centers your finger and you seldom slip off.

Here's a New Vaquero ejector rod on a 50th Ann. .357. The button is a little smaller than the Uberti, but on the bright side, its $5.00 from Ruger. 8)

Sorry for the poor picture, cheap camera and a bad photographer.

Has anyone used both the bullseye and crescent shaped ejector rods?
The factory rod is great but the head seems so small, I'm looking for a rod with a larger head.

Tom,
Where did you find them and what did they cost? Ruger says the crescent headed rods for the Vaquero will not fit my SBH or any Blackhawks, only the Vaqueros, and won't even quote me a price.

The first ones I got from Midway but they no longer carry them. I have one ordered from Brownell's as you read this.
