Looking for a threaded barrel for my SR1911 Cmd 45 ACP and found one at Brownells. How much fitting if any is required?

In general, 'prefit' barrels will be drop in or may need a small amount of stoning on the barrel hood, while other barrels are short chambered and need finishing with a chamber reamer.

I used a StormLake with a matched bushing on my SR1911CMD and it was basically a drop in fit.

1911s in general do not have "true drop in" parts like you find with most semi autos. Its extremely rare for a barrel not to require fitting, also if the barrel/bushing fit isnt great youe accuracy will suffer.
