A friend gave me a stack of Ruger brassards that had just been laying around in his gun safe and this was one of them. Neither of us suspected it was anything special and really didn't pay it any mind at the time. I was recently researching some other memorabilia items and stumbled across an image of the 1954-1961 Ruger "Pistol and Revolvers" brassard. I dug it out of the stack and low and behold, it was one of the 4055 produced in that time period.

At one point, I had four of those P&R patches and remember taking a pic of all of them, but I can't find that pic of the whole group, so maybe it didn't survive the hard drive crash on my old computer. I remember two of them came from a guy who picked old jackets and such at thrift stores to remove old patches and pins to sell.

I found a couple other pics.

And then this one with the stags was traded to Dan Meigs long ago for a fairly pristine copy of Ambush to Zigzag with the jacket, and something else I forget.

I think I have the decal too, but didn't find that pic either.

They had a P&R rubber stamp for a while as well:
