Early Ruger boxes?

What are the dates and colors of the early Ruger boxes? I have an older 3 screw .357 BH 6.5". Was interested in its original box.

Well, there are the earliest boxes,, without a model designation, or a box that's almost like it,, but it does have the model designation. A lot depends upon the actual date of your gun to determine which box would be correct.
But, since you mentioned it has a 6-1/2" bbl,, it would have come in a later box,, that has the model designation. (BKH-36) on the end label. A 2-piece box, yellow, with a black end label.
The box pictured in the link above is for an earlier gun than your gun. It doesn't have the model info on the label.
