Looking at a early Ruger 77/22 long rifle w/ leupold 4xrf scope on Auction Arms. What is the going price on a rig like that? It is at $426 right now- ends in the next day or so.
I have a laminated stock, ss model in 22 mag that shoots great. Interested in 22 long rifle , wonder if it will shoot as well. Thanks

I bought one ('84 model) a couple of years ago. It had a 2x7x32 Simmons scope on it. I paid $425.00.

you should probably set your upper limit and then resist the urge to exceed it. The ammo is a lot cheaper for the long rifle version, and it's probably a a good one.

the Leupold RF itself is worth quite a bit...i have one on my CZ 452 LR and i wouldn't part with it...as i recall i paid nearly $300.00 for it, new.*

as for the 77/22...they're reliable, rugged and accurate

*the RF series scope is NOT "click" adjustable...it simply "screws"...i found you can make incredibly minute adjustments with that system.
