I recently picked this up at an estate sale. Shoots great. My question is that the manual says not to shoot +P ammo. I haven't found any factory ammo that is NOT +P and again, the gun shoots great. I was discussing this matter at the range and an old timer said the ammo manufacturers all put +P on their ammo to prevent folks from using in old .38 autos. Any advice on whether I am risking anything with the +P ammo?

Thanks

The old timer is correct. It is to warn morons not to shoot .38 Super in obsolete .38 ACP or .38 auto pistols. I reload .38 Super. It's basically a souped up 9mm, like 9mm +P, if you will. The EAA is a modern firearm. Any factory load .38 Super ammo should be safe in that gun. Enjoy!
