For all you trout fisherman out there, here's a simple side dish that will compliment your days catch. Good ole' Mac-n-cheese. And this recipe is so simple. I got it from my Grandma. I usually make it in a pyrodex casserole dish, but decided to go 'Dutch' tonight.
Melt 3 Tbl spoons of butter in a #10 or #12 'Dutch'. Pour in 2 1/2 cups of UNCOOKED macaroni. Mix well with butter. Pour in 4 cups of milk. Add 1 - 8 oz. bag of shredded cheddar cheese. Add a tsp of salt and pepper. Mix well. Bake at 325 degrees for approx. 75 minutes. Take lid off last 10-15 min. to brown to your choice. This is also great with chopped bits of leftover ham mixed in it.
