Does anyone know how I can locate a mold for my pistol?...I went to a custom holster maker and he wanted to use my pistol to mold the holster...he swore it wouldn't harm it, but I'm a little uneasy with that...Thanks...

Ted Blocker Leather has a whole collection of metal dummy guns for molding their holsters. You might try some other leather shops and see if they will tell you where to get them.

For a couple pistols of mine I wrapped them saran wrap. I soaked the holster in warm water then let it dry around my pistol.
This was with a used holster that was given to me. Worked fine no moisture got on the gun.

I have had no problem saran wrapping pistols or revolvers and forming a holster around them. I spray so Rem-oil on them and wrap them up. I make my holsters out of a good quality vegetable tan leather, stay away from any chrome tan or what they call re-tan leather, it is full of corrosive chemicals.
