Dumb Question: What is that hole above the bore on GP100?

I'm looking at used GP100's on the Web, and a photo of a 4-inch blued GP100, taken from the front looking down the barrel, shows what appears to be a hole above the bore. What is that? I've never actually handled one.

It is a button that you can push in to remove the front sight, incase you would like to try a different style of front sight.
