Blackhawk
My only 1911 is a Blue gun.
Making holsters is my hobby like reloading; I see something I like I make it and give it away or put it in a box.Mine is parked like JB intended. I have a fancy to me black holster for it but it's a pain to carry.
Are you still making holsters?
Yes, but just for me, if I make to sell then it's no longer my hobby but becomes a job.Are you still making holsters?
As a much younger man (boy?) I was crazy for riding and working on motorcycles,so I went to a trade school, got trained in repair and made a living from it.^^^^ VERY, VERY good point dannyd. ^^^^
My hobby (guns) led me to 34 years as a part time to full time firearms repair business. Well, I had some major medical concerns in Dec 2022 (all resolved and I feel great now) and turned 70 in early Feb 2023 and as a good friend/customer/EMT told me as he transported me to the ER "Ron, isn't it time for you to take some "me time" now?" Had to agree with him so the firearms business is being drastically slowed down and I'm getting back to the Ruger DA revolvers I collect, display AND shoot (and reload for). I'm keeping my FFL because it does make collecting (and reloading) a bit easier/cheaper but the shop is basically going away. Going back to being a HOBBY, not a job.
Yes, but just for me, if I make to sell then it's no longer my hobby but becomes a job.
Yeah when I get a new gun it's an excuse to accessorize. I made 2 for my Max 9. An OWB/Shoulder and an IWB/Cargo Pocket. The piggyback mag breaks up the outline in a pocket. Also makes carrying a reload much more convenient.Yes, but just for me, if I make to sell then it's no longer my hobby but becomes a job.
