D'Oh!!! Problem with reassembly of Mark II

I have a 22/45. It wasn't going back together after cleaning. I was distractedly playing with it after cleaning and it slipped right in and I locked down the latch. Now it won't cock and hangs when I try pulling the side back. Symptoms fit this description

If the hammer strut does not contact the plunger inside the mainspring
housing as it is swung shut, it will either be impossible to close the housing, or the housing will close but the bolt cannot be fully opened without binding. Make sure strut is free, hammer is uncocked, and repeat steps 6-11, above.

Problem is, I can't get it apart again, it unlatches, swings out a bit and then sits there. Does anyone have any suggestions for getting it apart again so I can put it together right?

Try pulling the trigger & shakeing the gun with the muzzle down, Your trying to get the hammer to go farward..
This should free it up..
I posted a link to a 22/45 site with another link to a MKII site that has the best picks & info I've come across..
