Just bought another 10-22. It's an old model with metal trigger group, butt plate, and barrel ring. It's in really good shape. The walnut stock has one little scratch on it that I think I can fix without redoing the whole stock. Barrel blueing is about 98%. All I plan to do to this one is redo the reciever and trigger housing and leave the rest of it alone. (Yeah right). Ser. # 232-31xxx. That makes six in two months.

I need to get this one put away before the wife gets home. Maybe she won't notice just one more.

That's always been my operating theory when buying 1911s, AR-15s, and blued 4" S&Ws.

Ca. But heart is in Colorado!
Congrats Sir!
Fun little rifles and all the better when you find a nice walnut stocked older one. Over the last 25 years I have had the pleasure of watching my 4 Daughters, now aged 25, 21, 14 and 11, play with their Barbie dolls by always changing their clothes and making them different. I guess I have done the same with my 8 10/22's ranging in age from 1970 to 2009. Change a stock here, a barrel there, paint it, dye it, reshape it and on and on. And those little walnut stocked carbines really dress up nice!

All of the rest of mine have scopes on them. I think I will put a set of Williams peep sights on this one and leave the rest of it alone.

I just need one more gun.

Go for it. Everyone needs a peep-sighted 10/22.

They are an investment Dear. When I am gone you will be fixed for life. We will only have to eat beans and rice for 3 weeks for this one!
