Did I mention I love my grandkids?

I got this text (yes, I know it's not a phone call) from my oldest daughter's youngest daughter, 14 years old. Here's how the text went:

GD: Hey I wanted to reach out to you to say that I loved being on the bike and so the next time like the weather is good and you wanna hang out I would love to get back on.

Me: Well, I would love to spend time with you on the motorcycle, too. Maybe a 3 day trip, or something I'd like to spend time with you, anytime.

GD: Yeah that sounds great just anytime you're free and like just whenever is fine

Me: Sounds like a plan!

GD: Alrighty (Blowing a heart kiss. Don't know why it's not showing up)

Me:

I have this lovely granddaughter who simply wants to be with her PawPaw either on the bike or just hanging out. I am truly a blessed man, and I'm thankful for it every-single-day

I don’t receive many texts from my kids, but my granddaughters text me quite often. It nice to have that contact, especially since one is in Texas and the other is 100 miles away in college. It’s real quiet since my wife past away. I stay busy however with friends and family.

Nothing like grandkids. My four year old granddaughter hugged my leg as she walked by as I was cooking breakfast and said I love you. Maybe someday I’ll get to take a road trip with her too when she grows up.
