That's what some reports are calling the intense wind that hit here around 8:15-8:30 am. Up to 80 mph winds and pouring rain. Many buildings damaged/destroyed. Power was knocked out for several hours. Trees down everywhere. One of the few trees that survived our November fire is down and just missed taking a corner of the house by inches. Corn fields are flattened. Fences taken down by falling trees. We haven't even found all of what is damaged. A neighbor 3 miles up the road lost part of his roof and most of his orchard & garden. Pictures of damaged buildings coming in from across a wide area. Power company guys stopped by to check on us and ask for bottled water if we had extra. I had both gensets running for about 5-6 hours before they could restore power.
We'd left a roll of field drainage tile(roll is 8' in diameter x 8' wide and weighs about 2000-2500#) in an open field and it ended up crashing into a couple of parked grain wagons 250 yards from where it started.
Looks like tomorrow will be spent moving livestock to pastures that still have fences intact and working on downed tree removal.

Sorry for the damage, but thankful it wasn't worse and there was no loss of life. Hope you get everything sorted out and the critters are okay.

We've had 'em here in Wyoming, but generally they occur east of the Rockies in the US (they have also been documented in Europe and South America).

Two weeks ago we had a Microburst come through. In all my life I've never seen hail like that in person. The roof on my old tobacco barn looks like a starry night on a sunny day. My wife's new car that she's had for a month looks like it sat at a driving range for a year or two. Other than that just a few limbs. Half of the roofs in the neighborhood are being replaced. Craziest thing I've ever seen. Like a Vertical Tornado!!! The hail shredded half of the leaves off the trees and it looked like a blender on it's side.

A few years ago I was working on the top floor of a building when a Derecho was rolling in. I could see it coming for about 15 miles. It was like a wall that consumed everything in it's path as it moved. Everything just disappeared into it!!! I waited till it was on us before I went to cover because it was such an awesome sight

Such a storm occurred here in the Memphis area Sunday night around 6:45 p.m. We were in church and lost our power at that time. Reported winds were 90 m.p.h. As I left church I saw all power was out. Driving home on a busy throuroughfare with no traffic lights was pretty dicey! That road is bad enough with traffic lights! Trees were down, utility poles broken and power lines down, debris in the streets. But as Ineared my neighborhood, ther was no evidence of a storm. I never lost power, but many still have no power. And temps ar approaching 100*.

We're trying to remain hopeful(at least everyone but me). Grandkids have been here all morning trying to recover some fence but we've been rained out twice. Grandson got thoroughly soaked. Gramma put his clothes in the drier when we got back. Sun's out now so maybe make progress after noon.

Severe thunderstorms predicted for tonight. That ferocious storm took my dads barn. We spent the hot afternoon dragging trees and limbs away. North Missouri got hit very hard. The flattened corn 🌽 is something to see. Simply leveled.

We spent most of yesterday fencing around some downed trees too big to move and removing enough of others that fell across access roads to permit scooting past . Those that are just laying in the fields will have to wait. We hauled some livestock to another farm with intact fences.
I found parts of one of the shade tree chairs 1/4 mile from where it had been sitting pre-storm. It had been plucked from the deck, carried over a row of big round hay bales, and then slammed down hard enough to smash and scatter parts over a 50' radius.
Sort of amazingly, a giant (5' diameter base) hollow and mostly rotten maple tree at the north farm is still standing. One would have expected it to be the first to fall?? I guess the costly decision to remove a couple of other trees that were threatening buildings at that location was prudent. No doubt those trees would have come down on the machine shed.
I haven't been off the farm to see what happened other places but will admit our soybeans seem to have pulled through the intense whipping they took from the winds. One wheat field I'd written off as lost may not be a total loss (yet). Several corn fields reportedly are basically flattened and won't recover.

Two inches of rain here west of Mobuck overnight. Have a few limbs down but nothing real bad.
We sorely needed the rain but not in quick buckets full ….. be nice for it to have time to soak in.

My cousin had a 2021 Chevrolet 4x4 truck totaled from a flying trampoline. Tore up front end, went thru the cab. And it was parked in a barn. Winds had to be 90 mph plus.

We've cleaned up the tree that fell on our house and three that had blocked an access road enough to get past them. Full cleanup will take a while with current time crunch for other tasks. I have no idea how many trees are down or have tops broken out. The guy who rents my pasture land has been working to get just enough fallen stuff moved to rebuild fences. I haven't even had time to really check on damage at our north farm but do know there's several trees down and the powerline is hanging by a thread-couple of broken poles that REC has on 'low priority' repair status.
