Del-Ton is closing its doors

I'm sorry to hear this. I wonder what will become of the facilities and employees. Hopefully someone will step forward and buy them out and keep the employees.

Maybe Ruger will add this one too like they did with Anderson
The more names Ruger buys the more they hasten their death. See the history of Remington to understand. But the tenet applies to any business. When they stop innovating and start buy other people's work they generally cut quality and take another step closer to the grave.

DelTon is/was an exceptional 'shooter grade' AR parts supplier and I recommend them for the 'general purpose' user. I've never been disappointed with DelTon parts and especially complete uppers.
Sorry to see them go. :(
After my first retirement, I had lots of time and my health was not bad so I spent a lot of time outside. Took on many 'varmint removal jobs' and carried a DelTon upper AR every day. Always right on target-hot/cold/wet/dry and the external finish held up quite well to the constant handling in all kinds of weather.

Used their upper kit on my first build I still have.

Rang an 8" gong from 190 yards repeatedly using open military sights.

One of my first ARs I ever "put together" was a Double Star lower/Del-ton upper, and I still have it and it still works just great. Too many folks making ARs, the market is awash with them. Walk into gun stores around here and there are hundreds of them for sale, cheap. It's kind of a shame that when people are not worried about them getting banned they don't buy them! Next Biden type President we have and they will start selling again.
