Deerstalker

I picked up a Ruger 44 Carbine Deerstalker model last month. The serial number is 1901 which I believe dates the rifle to 1962. The rifle came with a Bushnell Banner 1.75x-4.5x scope. Is there any way to tell if this scope is of the same vintage as the rifle?

I actually sent an old Banner (circa 1971...unknown at the time) back to Bushnell for a repair and they actually looked up the number and sent me back the manufacture date with the bill....so I do know that they have the capacity to look back to at least the early 70's

Someone in customer service at Bushnell should be able to help you if you can find s/n somewhere on it....ask them if it is still under warranty and they are more or less obligated to look it up for you.
