Well, what else would you expect of a service with a tradition of "rum, sodomy and the lash?" Although His Majesty's admirals might want, in future, to carefully reconsider just to whom they're giving the keys, to the kingdom's strategic nuclear missile subs.

To be fair, the article isn't clear as to the actual gender of the subordinate. Are HM's missile subs now co-ed?

These incidents just provide more proof that men and women should NOT be in these environments together. I saw it for nearly 20 years in the Army, although the Mil was not really punishing people for it. Heck, I knew a female Drill who got knocked up by a PFC in training. Zilch in reprocussions.

my last view of the enterprise was a tiger cruise on 2004 with my nephew.
sad to see women on it. it ruined my memories of an orderly ship. my nephew said the hanger decks centerline passageway was known to all as the red light district. doors on both sides lead down to what use to be mens berthing. it became womens berthing. the other end of the passage lead into the chain gear room.
in order to get to it, one would have to traverse the passage. sure enough. women would be hanging out in the passage talking to men holding hands, hoping for a chance to slip them down into the berthing when no one was looking.
on a combat ship!
it was said, women always were first off, because men pulled strings in payment. and...women always came back with bags of shopping. an e2? with that kind of money? hmmm.

on a bright note, i did see the last F14 launch off a carrier. amazing...i saw the first 14's land on that same deck.

10 years later...it became razor blades. the lady deserved better during its life.

In looking back at my younger days and also the history of mankind and I mean men in general... it is obvious that testosterone has to be the most dangerous chemical on the planet.
I would even consider it a drug .... leads mostly to bad things and trouble when there is just a tad too much in the blood stream.
